The advantages and disadvantages of spring pressure gauges are as follows:
advantage:
Simple structure: The spring tube pressure gauge is mainly composed of a spring tube, a mechanical transmission amplification mechanism, a pointer, a dial, etc. The structure is relatively simple and easy to manufacture and maintain.
Low cost: Compared to some complex pressure measuring instruments, spring pressure gauges have lower manufacturing costs and are relatively inexpensive, making them widely used in many fields.
Reliable measurement: As long as the quality of key components such as the spring tube is reliable, the spring pressure gauge can stably and accurately measure pressure within the normal range of use, and the measurement results have high credibility.
Wide application range: It can be used to measure the pressure of various media, such as gases, liquids, steam, etc., and is suitable for different industrial scenarios.
Direct reading: By using the pointer to indicate on the dial, the value of the measured pressure can be directly read without the need for complex signal conversion or data processing, making it easy and intuitive to use.
High accuracy: For general pressure measurement needs, spring pressure gauges can provide more accurate measurement results, meeting the basic requirements of industrial production and scientific research. The accuracy levels of ordinary spring pressure gauges usually include level 1, level 1.6, level 2.5, etc.
Disadvantages:
Accuracy limitation: Although spring pressure gauges can meet certain accuracy requirements, their accuracy may not meet the requirements in situations where pressure measurement accuracy is very high, such as some precision experiments or high-end manufacturing fields. Compared to some high-precision electronic pressure sensors, the accuracy improvement space of spring pressure gauges is limited.
Temperature sensitive: The performance of elastic components such as spring tubes is easily affected by temperature changes. In high or low temperature environments, the elastic coefficient of the spring tube may change, leading to increased measurement errors. For example, in high-temperature environments, spring tubes may experience deformation, softening, and other issues that affect the accuracy of measurements.
There is a lag phenomenon: When the pressure changes, the elastic deformation of the spring tube may not immediately keep up with the pressure changes, and there may be a certain lag, which may cause the measurement results to not reflect the instantaneous changes in pressure in real time and accurately. For the process of rapid pressure changes, the timeliness and accuracy of the measurement will be affected to some extent.
Susceptible to vibration: If there is strong vibration in the installation environment, it may interfere with the normal operation of the spring pressure gauge, causing the pointer to shake and become unstable, and even affecting the normal operation of the internal mechanical transmission mechanism, resulting in measurement errors or damage to the instrument.
Limited range: Each specification of spring pressure gauge has its specific range, and although there are products with different ranges to choose from, it may not be able to meet the needs in some special situations where measuring ultra large or ultra small range pressure is required.
Poor long-term stability: Elastic components such as spring tubes may gradually decrease in elasticity performance due to fatigue, aging, and other reasons during long-term use, resulting in reduced measurement accuracy and stability of pressure gauges. Regular calibration and maintenance are required.
